The day dawned and it was another of the HOT, HUMID days that we had been experiencing for the last few weeks. Sometimes we have huddled under the gazebos sheltering from the heavy rain and thunderstorm activity, but not today. The crowd proceeded to do their usual look at a distance (a good two metres) and needed to be coaxed to come closer to look at the excellent woodworking skills displayed in our merchandise. We had an abundance of volunteers to help in the morning shift so it was easy to promote sales of raffle tickets and our other wares. Thank you to Phil T and Daniel for offering up the raffle prizes. The very hot conditions in the sun and even under the gazebo had greatly reduced the crowd. The normal lunchtime throng was basically gone by one o’clock and so it made things pass a little slower. Phil T’s “shut the box” game was a good entertainer as he explained how it could be played.
Our raffle prize was drawn and both winners returned to claim their prizes. Our winners were: 1st Prize a wine rack and bottles of wine from Phil T won by Shari 2nd Prize a lamp won by Tim
